GTG Expands Regional Presence in Russia, Eyes Vologda as Strategic Focus

On August 25, 2025, Gravis Trading Group (GTG) announced plans to deepen its regional footprint across the Russian Federation, placing a strategic emphasis on Vologda Oblast. The announcement follows the company’s participation in a high-level business forum held in Minsk, coinciding with the official visit of Vologda Governor Georgy Filimonov to Belarus.

During the event, GTG held a series of substantive discussions with representatives of the Vologda business community, focusing on partnership opportunities with local food producers. The company also took part in a presentation showcasing the economic potential of the Vologda region. As a result of these talks, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue and develop mutually beneficial trade and investment cooperation formats involving Gravis Trading Group.

According to official statistics, trade turnover between Belarus and Vologda Oblast reached $678 million in 2024, with $316 million recorded between January and June 2025. Industrial cooperation remains a key focus area. Belarus has expressed interest in supporting the renewal of agricultural machinery across farms in Vologda, offering preferential financing tools and leasing schemes to facilitate the acquisition of Belarusian equipment. Discussions also included prospects for launching a tractor assembly facility at the Cherepovets Foundry and Mechanical Plant, expanding product lines, and increasing local manufacturing content. In addition, the Vologda delegation was invited to explore options for procuring eco-friendly electric transport from MAZ and Belkommunmash, as well as elevator equipment for infrastructure development.

During the forum, GTG also presented its capabilities in supporting Russian businesses entering the Belarusian market, offering assistance in business registration, legal compliance, and partnership facilitation.
